Your consumer unit (fuse box) is the heart of your electrical system. Older boards with rewireable fuses or a single RCD offer far less protection than a modern unit, where each circuit has its own RCBO — so a fault on one circuit no longer plunges the whole house into darkness.
We supply and fit modern consumer units across Blackheath, Greenwich and SE London, typically in half a day. Every upgrade includes the necessary testing and an Electrical Installation Certificate. Where existing circuits need attention to pass, we'll explain this clearly and quote before proceeding.
A standard replacement starts from around £800 supplied and fitted. The final price depends on the board size and whether any circuits need remedial work to pass testing — we'll confirm with a fixed quote.
